Girl Scout Exclusive: Explore Your Future for Ambassadors
$75 | August 24, 2025 | 2:00-5:00pm | @ McLean Government Center
Troop leaders who wish to register on behalf of a group or coordinate alternate payment to avoid online transaction fees should contact us directly.
About this Workshop
Research shows that girls’ confidence drops significantly during adolescence, and discomfort with self-promotion may hold them back from leadership roles, college interviews, and job opportunities.
This workshop is designed to help Girl Scout Ambassadors build essential communication skills to confidently talk about their strengths, goals, and interests—a challenge that can limit their future academic and career opportunities.
This 3-hour experience provides a supportive, engaging environment to help scouts practice and hear how others describe themselves as well.
In advance of the workshop, each participant will complete a personality and career aptitude assessment to help guide discussion and reflection.
During the session, scouts will:
Explore a range of career tracks and identify those that align with their strengths and interests
Reflect on what success means to them personally
Learn how to use their network strategically and ask thoughtful questions of professionals
Practice professional conversations related to networking, career exploration, or school selection
Identify both short- and long-term action steps for career exploration
Intended outcomes include:
Increased confidence in communicating about their strengths and goals
Greater clarity about potential career paths
A deeper understanding of how to pursue success in ways that align with their values
Empowerment to take initiative in reaching out to professionals or trusted adults for insight and guidance
Details:
Light snacks and beverages will be provided
Payment is required to reserve a spot
More information will be provided upon registration about pre-work for scouts. There are limited adult volunteer needs in this workshop - if you are interested in volunteering for the duration of the workshop, please indicate that in your registration form.
