About this Workshop

Feeling stuck or at a loss for how to communicate with your teens? Are there challenging topics that you aren’t sure how to address? Struggling to connect?

This interactive, 2-hour workshop is designed to help parents, leaders, or coaches gain communication strategies, learn how teens’ brain development may impact their behaviors, and feel more confident in addressing challenging topics with teens.

This 2-hour experience provides a supportive and engaging environment to share experiences, learn new skills, regulate yourself in stressful interactions, and build confidence in connecting and communicating with teens.

During the session, you will:

  • Gain a better understanding of the adolescent brain

  • Identify communication barriers with teens

  • Learn strategies to regulate your emotions before helping teens regulate their own

  • Identify core elements of empathetic listening

Intended outcomes include:

  • Confidence in connecting and communicating with teens

  • 2 emotion regulation strategies to add to your skill set

  • An ability to use empathetic listening skills

  • Increased knowledge about the adolescent brain
